Terms of use

The app

drawsta is a free drawing app for iPhone and iPad. It lets you draw freehand, trace reference pictures, and browse a mood board of pictures to draw from.

Your work

Everything you make in drawsta belongs to you. Your drawings are stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your personal iCloud account. We claim no rights over your work and have no access to it.

You are responsible for what you make and for how you use it. If you trace or incorporate a reference picture, whether from the mood board, your photo library, a link somebody sent you, or anywhere else, you are responsible for making sure your use of the resulting work respects any rights that may exist in the source material, particularly if you publish, distribute or sell it.

The mood board

The mood board shows pictures from weirdla.com. If you search, it also asks Wikimedia Commons and Openverse, because weirdla has no keyword search. Attribution is shown where the source provides it.

We curate in good faith, but we do not own this content and cannot guarantee the rights position of any individual picture. If you believe a picture infringes your rights, contact us at the address below and we will review and remove it promptly.

The board depends on services we do not control. It may be unavailable, incomplete or rate-limited at any time.

Pictures you upload

If you put a picture up at drawsta.com/upload, you confirm you have the right to do so. It is stored behind a link that is not listed anywhere and is deleted after 30 days, or immediately if it is reported. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share.

Acceptable use

Do not use drawsta to break any law, infringe anyone’s rights, or attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or abuse the app or the services it connects to.

No warranty

drawsta is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that your work will never be lost. Back up work that matters to you.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, artwork or profits, arising from your use of drawsta. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed fifty US dollars.

Changes

We may update, change or discontinue the app or any feature at any time. We may update these terms; the current version is always posted at this address with its effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
