Privacy policy
Effective 1 October 2026
drawsta is a drawing and tracing app for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what the app handles and what happens to it. The short version: drawsta has no accounts, collects no personal information, shows no ads, and sells nothing, because it has nothing to sell.
What drawsta stores, and where
Your drawings. Everything you draw is stored on your device. If you are signed into iCloud, your drawings sync to your private iCloud database through Apple’s CloudKit, so they are backed up and available across your devices. They live in your own iCloud account. We cannot see, access or retrieve them. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.
Recovery data. drawsta keeps a local copy of the canvas you are working on, on your device. It is never transmitted anywhere.
Photos. If you import a photo from your photo library, drawsta asks through the standard iOS picker and reads only the photos you choose. Imported photos stay inside your drawings, on your device and in your own iCloud account.
The mood board
The mood board’s feed is weirdla.com and nothing else. When it loads, your device requests pictures from weirdla.com directly, which means that service receives your IP address and the standard information any web request carries. drawsta sends it nothing else: no identifiers, no account information, no usage history.
If you search. weirdla has no keyword search, so a typed search also asks two other services that do: Wikimedia Commons and Openverse. Those services receive your IP address, the standard request information and the words you searched for. They receive nothing else. If you never search, they are never contacted.
Thumbnails are cached on your device so the board loads quickly and works offline. Deleting the app clears the cache.
The drawsta server
Editorial content, such as curated tracing pictures and onboarding text, is fetched from drawsta’s own server when the app launches. That server receives your IP address and the standard request information, and nothing else: no identifiers, no usage history, nothing about your drawings. These requests are read-only. drawsta writes nothing to it, and your drawings never leave your device and your own iCloud account.
Content safety
drawsta screens pictures on your device before they are shown, including with an on-device machine learning model. That analysis happens entirely on your device. No pictures and no results are sent anywhere.
What drawsta does not do
drawsta collects no analytics, does not track you, uses no advertising or advertising identifiers, does not fingerprint your device, neither requires nor offers accounts, and shares or sells nothing to anyone. There is nothing to share or sell.
Children
drawsta collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
